Bionic Woman fans, you may now awake from your 36-year slumber and rejoice! For those among you that have been on the edge of your seats since the season three episode finale in 1978, Dynamite Entertainment has announced that following in the successful footsteps of their Six Million Dollar Man: Season Six comic series, they will now be releasing a close-to-continuity comic series of The Bionic Woman! The series, titled The Bionic Woman: Season Four, follows Jaime Sommers (the Bionic Woman) right where we left her in the last episode settling in after a return to O.S.I. while attempting to balance a normal life with the work of being a half mechanical super government agent.
The series will feature the creative team of writer Brandon Jerwa (G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Battlestar Galactica: Season Zero) with interior art by David T. Cabrera (Grimm Fairy Tales: Quest). According to Jerwa , “If you’ve never seen the show, or haven’t read James Kuhoric’s Six Million Dollar Man comic, you’re still totally fine. Longtime fans won’t be left out in the cold though. The Bionic Woman: Season Four is a continuation of the class TV series, so I’m definitely treating it as such in terms of continuity and thematic carry-through.”
The series is set to hit stands in September. You can check out some preview panels below!
