DC Comics Shakeups for July 2014 Solicit

July ushers in the finales of numerous storylines (Batman, Catwoman, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Supergirl).WW_Cv33_53558a127bba72.93783438 Powerful new villains, such as the Doom Patrol and Superman, enter the New 52 and wreak havoc across several titles. Superman?!? Watch what happens when the Man of Steel succumbs to the Doomsday virus.

There will be some new faces for DCU heroes, as well. While Oliver Queen’s world is being torn apart, we see a new person take up the Green Arrow hood. Justice League 3000 promises a female Flash.

The biggest shakeup of the month will be the conclusion to Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang’s final Wonder Woman story arc. They have given the Amazon a unique perspectiv, and breathed a fresh, modern interpretation into the Greek Gods along the lines of American Gods or the Percy Jackson series. Will the next creative team, Meredith (Tales From Oz) and David (Batman: The Dark Knight, Forever Evil, JLA) Finch, keep the independent feel of the title, or will they bring it more in line with the rest of the DCU?
