DC Announces Darwyn Cooke Variant Month for December

Continuing their recent trend of themed cover months (having previously done a month of Batman covers, “selfie” covers, and more) DC Comics announced a new theme today for December 2014.

The month will have twenty-three different titles sporting variant covers designed by fan-favorite artist Darwyn Cooke (New Frontier, The Spirit), who has long been one of the shining stars of DC’s artistic stable. His signature style features a throwback aesthetic which evokes the bright, hopeful imagery of the Silver Age of comics, with heroes in bright colors, bold poses, and with expressions that convey the cocky optimism of the era.

Four of the upcoming covers were originally released as an exclusive on CBR, and can be found below.
