The CW Network has begun principal photography for the forthcoming The Flash television series.
Series Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg posted on Twitter early Sunday morning to let fans know that “action” had been called and the series is officially underway:

This comes on the proverbial heels of last week’s release of the first image of star Grant Gustin as the iconic speedster.
As reported earlier, veteran director David Nutter is helming the pilot, and the cast has been rounded out with the addition of John Wesley Shipp, who starred in the 1990 live-action series.
The Flash has yet to receive a full-season order or a release date for the pilot, so be sure to stay tuned to this space for updates as they come!
