20th Century Fox previewed footage of director Matthew Vaughn‘s highly anticipated release The Secret Service at WonderCon over the past weekend.

The Hero—And Sidekick Guys Who Lead The Book Are, I Think, The Best Characters I’ve Written.

The feature film was written and directed by Matthew Vaughn and co-written by Jane Goldman and is scheduled for release on October 2014. The film stars Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Jack Davenport, Mark Hamill.

The folks at /Film reported on the footage and wrote the movie will focus on Firth as a “refined and highly capable secret agent, who recruits his nephew to join the intelligence service.” After the WonderCon presentation, the guys at /Film recorded their own reaction to the footage.
