Independent comic book publisher BOOM! Studios has a certified hit on it’s hands with the first issue of Arcadia.
The Los Angeles-based imprint announced today that the debut issue of the new series from writer Alex Paknadel and artist Eric Scott Pfeiffer had sold out at the distributor level and would be returning to press for a second print.
The first issue of Arcadia arrived to incredibly solid reviews from around the blogosphere, scoring a combined 8.4 with twenty different sites submitting reviews, according to review aggregator site ComicBookRoundup.com.
Final numbers on sales from the first issue will not be in until Diamond Comic Distributors releases numbers for the month of May, expected around the middle of next month.
The second printing of Arcadia’s debut issue is scheduled to arrive in stores on June 10th and will feature a new cover from series artist Eric Scott Pfieffer.
