constantine#1“CONSTANTINE #1”
From Jeff Lemire (Swamp Thing, Justice League Dark, Green Arrow), master of DC Comics’ “Dark” universe, comes the long-awaited solo outing of iconic mystical sleuth John Constantine.

The character is known for his more mature aspects, and though Lemire has shown his ability to handle the character well as a member of Justice League Dark, it remains to be seen whether or not he can make Constantine compelling on his own.

This is a book that bears watching, so we recommend you get your hands on a copy..

revival8“REVIVAL #8”
This is one of those books that is on this left every month, and for very good reason. Tim Seeley and Mike Norton have earned every accolade they have received for this book. They have taken the somewhat tired zombie genre and given it new life. Their ability to use this setting to explore themes of isolation and even family dynamics in a zombified environment are simply icing on the already delicious cake. Like several of the excellent Image series that began last year, the first volume of this has been collected in trade, so you’ll want to catch up if you haven’t been reading to this point. Do so. You’ll thank us later.

na#4“NEW AVENGERS #4”
Last month saw Marvel’s Illuminati destroy a world, a partnership, and possibly set themselves on the road to destruction as well. The more intimate side of Jonathan Hickman’s duo of Avengers titles has, to this point, been excellent. This is an issue that, given some of the forthcoming solicits, will have a significant impact on this franchise moving forward. All that aside, Hickman has done a masterful job shaping his cast of top-tier characters into a group that you can’t not watch, if for no other reason than you are waiting to see what happens when they fail.
