According to Deadline, TNT is looking to get into the super hero TV game.
With five comic-derived television shows headed to small screens this fall (Gotham, Constantine, The Flash, Arrow, and Agents of SHIELD) Geoff Johns and the minds at DC Entertainment are apparently not done yet. Per the report, Teen Titans is one of three shows awaiting a final approval from the network. Helmed by writers Akiva Goldsman (Fringe, I Am Legend, A Beautiful Mind) and veteran producer Marc Haimes (MIB 2, Legend of Zorro), the series would ostensibly focus on former Robin Dick Grayson, as well as Starfire.
While no official word of the series’ progress has come from DC Entertainment, Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns tweeted out a link to a related story from the Wall Street Journal after Deadline broke the initial news, providing additional confirmation.
Though no details of the Teen Titans show are confirmed, Haimes resume contains multiple action epic credits, suggesting that the prospective show would certainly not be light on action, while Goldsman has proven that he has the ability to successfully craft sprawling science fiction universes on the small screen.
