Channing Tatum Leaving the Gambit Movie?

The latest news on the rumor mill today is that Channing Tatum’s deal to play Gambit in the upcoming film of the same title, is in jeopardy of falling apart.

The rumor comes from an unnamed source at TheWrap who claims that Tatum is planning to exit the project at 20th Century Fox despite his appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con to help hype the movie.

A second source also confirmed that representatives for Tatum remain in active discussions with Fox but apparently conceded that “something is up.”

Neither Fox or Tatum have yet to officially comment on the matter.

Gambit is currently scheduled for a release date of October 6, 2016 and is reportedly due to begin filming this October, with Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt at the helm.
