Vermin Royalty: Interview with Kurtis Weibe and Roc Upchurch

Every once in awhile a comic comes along that feels like it was made just for you; for me, Rat Queens is that comic. It brings back a world of swords and fantasy to a market largely dominated (volume-wise) by capes and superpowers. It’s funny (very funny), action packed, and just all out fun. Last month I had the pleasure of interviewing creators Kurtis Weibe and Roc Upchurch at the “Rat Queens #1” Launch Party…

“Snapshot #2” a Masters Class in Tone

“Snapshot #2” a Masters Class in Tone

Snapshot: we’ve heard all the rave reviews already. Diggle and Jock strike again with a wildly innovative story of Jake Dobson, who on finding a cell phone containing evidence of a murder on his way home finds his life immediately overturned and those closest to him in grave danger. The arts cinematic flares in panel layout and motion are deftly housed within a modern noir tale steeped in style and tone. It’s the latter I’d like…
