Matt Fraction Launches “Fifty Shades of Futures Without Violence”

The comics industry has not been shy about taking on the pop-cultural titan which is E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey.

Stjepan Sejic’s Sunstone has been touted as a sex-positive alternative for those interested in stories about B/D culture, and now Matt Fraction, the writer behind Time’s Comic Book of the Year for 2014: Sex Criminals, has joined the fray.

Screen Shot 2015-02-15 at 12.27.51 PMFraction announced in a blog post that he would be directing the proceeds from his WLF store to the Futures Without Violence campaign through this coming Monday.

“And while sex is great and finding someone into all the stuff you’re into is great, sex is not consent to violence, a relationship is not permission to abuse, and there are thousands of women and children who have to deal with that fundamental and erroneous misconstruing of truth and wild misinterpretation of love every day.”

So, if you’ve ever wanted a Hawkguy bag for your very own, wanted to Hawkblock yourself, or just because boomerangs, now is the time to snap up some merch and support an amazing cause at the same time.

Go now!
