Image Comics has announced that the fan-favourite series Nowhere Men will be returning next year, with issue 7 hitting stands on January 13th. The series follows a group of four scientist in a fictional world where scientist has had a cultural influence along the lines of The Beatles. The first issue was published in November 2012, with the sixth issue being released in October 2013. In November 2013, the first arc was collected in Nowhere Men, Vol. 1: Fates Worse Than Death.
Erik Stephenson, which wrote the first arc, is set to return along with colourist Jordie Bellaire and digital lettering company Fonografiks, however original artist Nate Bellegrade has been replaced by Dave Taylor. A veteran of the comics industry, Taylor has previously worked on Batman: Black and White, Batman: Shadow of the Bat, Detective Comics, Judge Dredd, and Punisher, to mention a few.
From the official press release, Erik Stephenson said “It’s really exciting to finally be returning to Nowhere Men. I’ve admired Dave’s work since I first saw it back in the ‘90s, so learning that he was a fan of of Nowhere Men and interested in working on the book was nothing short of amazing. It’s awesome to be working with him, and I’m looking forward to seeing how his style develops as we further explore the landscape created by World Corp.”
The series will return on January 13th, and will kick off where the first arc left off. It can be ordered through Diamond Code NOV150515 until December 21st.
