New BOOM! Horror Hit “The Empty Man #1” Goes to Second Printing

Looks like BOOM! Studios has another hit on their hands. New horror series The Empty Man (about a not-so-far-in-the-futre dystopic world in which a mysterious disease causes fits of suicidal tendencies followed by a lifeless state of catatonia) only debuted with issue #1 on June 11th, but has already sold out at the distribution level. This of course means that The Empty Man #1 now follows six other BOOM! titles (Evil Empire, Dead Letters, Lumberjanes, The Woods, Bee and Puppycat, and Big Trouble in Little China) that went to second printings following sold out debuts. Don’t worry too much first edition collectors! While the first printing of The Empty Man #1 and the previously mentioned titles may be sold out and unavailable for purchase directly from the distributor, issues may still be available at comic books stores and other retail locations, but will probably be hard to find. For those that missed it, the second printing of The Empty Man #1 will feature a new cover by artist Scott Newman and is scheduled to hit stands July 23rd.
