Image Goes Inside the Panels with The Walking Dead: All Out War

In a twist on the now-familiar artist’s editions of successful collections, publisher Image Comics will be releasing a 248-page hardcover compiling issues #121-126 of their most successful title of the last decade, featuring interior art comprised of the un-inked, unfinished pencils of artist Charlie Adlard.

This stripped-down take on the ravenously successful book marks a first for the title, which has seen softcover trades and compendiums but never before an edition like this.

Collected editions of The Walking Dead typically trend very well on major online retailers, as well as having landed several times on the NYT Best-sellers’ list. With this edition being an artistic as well as financial departure (the tome carries a $34.99 price point) that may appeal more to hardcore collectors than the casual fan looking to engage after viewing the hit TV show, it remains to be seen if All Out War can match the success of its more run-of-the-mill counterparts.
