Independent comic book publisher Image Comics has announced that issue #11 of Kieron Gillen and Jamie Mckelvie‘s The Wicked + The Divine will feature a variant cover by Eisner-Award-winning artist Fiona Staples (Saga).
The announcement of a Staples cover should help boost the title’s flagging sales. The Wicked + The Divine (or WivDiv, as it is known to it’s legions of loyal fans) had a strong debut, selling over 40,000 copies for Image, but it has seen a steady decline, with last month’s issue coming in at at only 20,360 copies sold at a distributor level.
Will you be picking up the Fiona Staples variant? Let us know in the comments!
