Harrison Ford To Reprise Role As Han Solo?

Rumors have been rampant about the new Star Wars trilogy since last year with one of the biggest rumors being that Harrison Ford would be returning to play the lovable Corellian smuggler, Han Solo.

With J.J. Abrams recently announced as director of the trilogy, it was only a matter of time before rumors of who would be in the movie and what the movie would be about would start to surface too. Yesterday (February 15th), Latino-Review dropped the scoop on Fox News Latino that it was “official,” and Harrison Ford would be returning to reprise his role as Han Solo.

Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up, as nothing is official until the movie studio itself releases the information. If this is true, however, does that mean we’ll see Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill return to the series as well? If the main characters from the original trilogy do return, the plot for the next Star Wars trilogy may be interesting if it goes the way internet speculation is suggesting (with the trilogy following Han and Leia’s twins and Luke’s son).

Our own Josh Epstein attempted to confirm with Ford’s rep, Jim Berkus, at United Talent Agency but could not reach him for a comment.
