Domino Rumored to be in Deadpool 2

Now that Deadpool has become such a massive success, news and rumors about whats next in store for the highly anticipated sequel have already started cropping up. We already know that the sequel will feature Cable in a prominent role due to the post-credits sequence, but if this latest rumor is to be believed then Deadpool 2 could also be getting a very lucky addition to its cast.

According to Heroic Hollywood, an unidentified source from 20th Century Fox claims that Neena Thurman aka Domino, will also be featured in Deadpool 2.

A former mercenary and expert marksman, Domino is a mutant with the ability to manipulate luck. Usually seen as one of the main staple characters of X-Force, Domino has also had an on-again/off-again relationship with Cable in the comics.

At the moment, this is still merely an unconfirmed rumor from an unidentified source. Not to mention the script for the Deadpool sequel is still being worked on. With the amount of revisions that go on until the final version of a script is complete, it is hard to say which characters will make the cut in the end due to their purpose in the story and the budgetary restrictions for the filmmakers to allow them to cast someone to play Domino, someone to make her costume, and a makeup crew to make her resemble her grey-skinned counterpart.

If this rumor is true and the writers are planning on adding Domino to the cast, we might be one step closer to seeing an eventual X-Force movie with Cable and Domino down the line especially since Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have said that an X-Force movie is one of their priorities and that they might have a hand in making it.

Deadpool 2 was greenlit right after its first weekend. So far we know that Reese and Wernick are definitely returning to work on a script while Reynolds and director Tim Miller are currently negotiating new contracts to return for the sequel. No set release date for movie has been set yet.

Deadpool is now playing in theaters; X-Men: Apocalypse opens on May 27, 2016; Gambit releases sometime in 2017; Wolverine 3 on March 3, 2017; and an unannounced X-Men film on July 13, 2018.
