Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo‘s run on “Doctor Strange” so far has been creepy, epic and delightfully bizarre. Now, Marvel has released preview pages from Doctor Strange #12, the opening chapter of the “Blood in the Aether” arc. Leading out of the epic climax of “The Last Days of Magic”, the issue finds the good Doctor as his weakest and most vulnerable, with a myriad of his greatest foes ready to take advantage of that and destroy the Sorcerer Supreme once and for all.
With how good Aaron and Bachalo’s run has been so far, it would be hard to see how they can top themselves, but the set up for “Blood in the Aether” looks like a winner that will keep this series moving from strength to strength, epic battle to epic battle. Featuring the return of such classic Doctor Strange villains as Baron Mordo, Nightmare, Satana and the dread Dormammu, Doctor Strange #12 is a must-read for any fans of the mystic arts.
“Blood in the Aether” kicks off in Doctor Strange #12 on sale October 5th.
