Comic Book Movie Buzz: New Trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) are returning to a screen near you this summer and Paramount Pictures presents another trailer for the upcoming blockbuster.

From Paramount:

Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil and her cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

The new TMNT also stars Megan Fox as April O’Neil and Bill Fitchner as Shedder. Also featured are the voice talents of Tony Shaloub as Splinter, Johnny Knoxville as Leonardo, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, and Jeremy Howard as Donatello.

TMNT began as a comic publication for Mirage Studios in May of 1984 before they catapulted in to the pop culture stratosphere with cartoons, toys, and movies. Created by Kevin Eastman, the turtles are a team of four teenage anthropomorphic turtles, named after four Renaissance artists, who were trained by their anthropomorphic rat sensei in the art of ninjutsu. From their home in the storm sewers of New York City, they battle petty criminals, evil overlords, mutated animals, and alien invaders while attempting to remain isolated from society.

TMNT was directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay. The movie is set for release on August 8, 2014.
