Black Mask’s MAYDAY #1 Sells Out, Gets Second Printing

Insurgent independent comic book publisher Black Mask announced today that the first issue of Curt Pires‘ and Chris Peterson‘s Mayday has sold out at a distributor level and is headed back to press for a second printing.

The series follows the misadventures of a broken-down screenwriter on the run from people looking to collect on an advance he was given (or so it seems…)

In a press release, Black Mask announced that the second printing of Mayday’s first issue would hit shelves on June 3rd alongside the first printing of the secon issue.

MAYDAY is coming back!

Before it even hit shelvesMAYDAY #1, our crazy little drug fueled cult book, was sold out at Diamond and the buzz was building. With the announcement that Tim Kring‘s (HEROES) Imperative Entertainment has plans to develop MAYDAY for TV the books became even harder to get your hands on. So after last month’s sellouts for WE CAN NEVER GO HOME #1 (reprint in shops this Wednesday) andSPACE RIDERS #1 (reprints in shops next Wednesday) we were once again unable to meet demand.

BUT NOW IT’S COMING BACK!

The MAYDAY  #1 reprint features an all new cover by artist Amancay Nahuelpan. It will be on shelves 6/3, the same day as issue #2.
