The Aquaman movie is having trouble with water on set.
According to a recent interview with Aquaman movie director James Wan, water on set poses a serious problem as a result of the film’s fictional locations. The hero’s stand alone movie takes place mostly in water, because of the premise of the film and the location the character was born. Aquaman was born on the sunken city of Atlantis where all the citizens have evolved to now breath under water.
Wan claims that water is really difficult for potential CGI work later. He has made a conscious attempt to be as practical as possible. The primary problem is how the hair and clothing might float on camera.
