Emily Blunt joins MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE

Blunt will join a cast including Kristin ChenowethTara StrongCathy WeseluckAndrea LibmanTabitha St. Germain, and Ashleigh Ball. The Golden Globe winning actress was last seen on the big screen in the highly acclaimed Scicario, and will next brace a theater near you in The Huntsman alongside Charlize TheronChris Hemsworth, and Jessica Chastain.

My Little Pony: The Movie, which will be directed by Jayson Theissen, isn’t Blunt’s first venture into voice acting as she voiced Juliet in Gnomeo & Juliet (2011), a role she is set to repeat in Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes (2018).

The plot summary for the film reveals that misfortune is inbound for Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and the other residents of Ponyville as a dark force enters their world. Join our noble heroes on a journey for the ages as they travel beyond Equestrian to meet new friends, and tackle exciting challenges in a quest where they will use the magic of friendship to save their home.

My Little Pony: The Movie opens on Nov. 3, 2017 opposite Thor: Ragnarock.
